Abstract
Nowadays each sector of defense sphere needs a comprehensive and effective photo and video recording system which record technique enables more efficient treatment of damages. Beside the proper photography expertise the damage photography demands suitable rescue knowledge. In connection with the sudden development of photo technique and devices the necessity of a scientific exacting examination of the subject is obvious. The author in this paper proves that archive materials are needed during the training of rescue specialists which enable them learning the essential know-how of prevention and rescue faster and more deeply. In connection with methodological and technological research of photography and video recording he gathered and systematized the theories and concepts of image recording and inserted them into the fields of disaster recovery where the visual information is essential. He systematized the principles and expectations which are the crucial conditions of credible and effective photography. Supported by a photo album, he proves concerning rescue work the importance of photography and that the photos presented in media in many cases do not represent the interest of rescue organisations or of the injured persons, furthermore a well-prepared and a selected photo can be an efficient device of PR and communication.
