Environmental Impacts of Canada's Oil Sands, Oil Shale and Shale Gas Mining

Abstract

This study provides information about the oil and gas exploitation of Canada regarding energy and environmental security. The study pays particular attention at the nonconventional ways of exploiting and the consequential damage of the environment. The impact of oil production changed the economical and strategical importance of the northamerican country but the way of exploitation is not accepted among some non-governmental actors.
