Abstract
The topic of countering improvised explosive devices was examined very thoroughly in the past decade. This tendency is beneficial, because the detailed understanding of the problem posed by improvised explosive devices, have been a basic condition of creating methods of countering it. Many publications were made in a period, when NATO’s basic effort was the stabilisation operation in Afghanistan, and the Coalition focused on defeating the forces of the Islamic State in Iraq. My intent is to show the actuality of the topic through presenting the main changes about ISIL’s use of improvised devices, and the tools of enemy procedures around the operation areas and in our direct environment.
