Abstract

The main purpose of this thesis is to enlight some details of second battle at Kosovo and the previous campaign on 17-18th October 1448. Our most important question was to answer whether it was really possible to reach the area near Durres ruled-by Iskender beg, join with his rebel army and start another campaign against the Ottoman Empire. According to the large number of mines (especially noble metals) in the operational area, and their close position to the battlefield the main point of the campaign in 1448 was to control or destroy the area. Also significant goal was to prove, why feeding of thousands of warrior deep in the enemy’s territory, was impossible. Our calculations based on primary sources came to light that needs of army which contains twenty-four thousand is more than hundred tons per day.
