Performance Comparison of Small Sized Point Focal Shaped Charges from Various Explosives

Abstract

As a preliminary to my article I wrote about the history of hollow explosive charges, jet formation, and scaling of charges. My present paper deals with practical experiences, which shows how complex, manufacturing technology discipline is in the casting process. I examine the operation of the generated explosive bodies on metal targets, thereby testing their performance. The different charges performance from the melt cast explosives will be compared with pressed and plastic explosives in the following article.
