Comparing the Operation of Secutity Guards and Armed Security Guards Via the Hungarian Railways Co.

Abstract

Security guards, armed security guards or both are employed to fulfil the safeguarding tasks in several establishments depending on the kind of facilities, advancement of infrastructure, the function and storing possessions. The denomination and the range of duties of the two scopes of activities are widely similar. However, the two fields are distinguished due to the legal regulation, the group of authority and the available equipment. The publication illustrates the scope of activities of the security guards and armed security guards analysing the differences and similarities between the two fields via safeguarding practices of MÁV Co. Besides it seeks a response how the phasing of range of duties of the two fields at the present company may develop.
