Management Functions in the Life of a Local Police Station. Decision-making as a Process of the Selection of Alternatives

Abstract

As all academic disciplines, the theory of management has evolutionary periods, too. No wonder that all the newly born theories, systems, schools in the global world were based on the classical school. The study gives an insight into the life of a local police station from the basics to the analysis of Fayol’s management functions. In the study we present the function of decision-making, followed by alternatives and proposals which could make operability of an authority easier in order to increase its success as well as its efficiency.
