KOME is committed to the long-term preservation, integrity, and permanent accessibility of all of its published content. Published items are assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and a permanent URL to maintain stable, trackable access. The journal utilises the REAL-J system of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. KOME also participates in DOAJ's Project JASPER. Full-text articles and their metadata are stored and submitted to archiving in PDF/A and XML to ensure compatibility with future archiving standards.
